Praise for the Sunset to Sunrise Relay

Just so you know you’re not the only one who thinks this crazy relay thing is a lot of fun…here’s what some past participants have had to say:

When you find a team crazy enough to run 180 miles in the heat along the highway and around a lake with a bunch of gators staring at you in the middle of nowhere Florida while being crammed in a van with smelly teammates living off of sports drink and nutrition bars all for a beer, you have something special. It’s one of the best beers I’ve ever had, and one of the best times I’ve ever had. That’s why we keep coming back for more. Joe, Gator Bait

This was my first relay experience and probably won’t be my last, as long as my teammates invite me back next year! I had a great time getting to know eleven other runners better and enjoyed the camaraderie of so many more from all the teams involved. No gator sightings or serious drama to share, but did enjoy some memorable folks across the great state of Florida, not the least of whom was a guy willing to do the “electric slide” with our group in a convenience store parking lot! People are crazy, and running 180 miles just to “get to the other side” is even crazier! Loved it! Catherine, Team No Nuts
